Teva, IPHA Code transparency and your privacy
Collaboration with the healthcare community is extremely important to Teva, and we take transparency and integrity very seriously. The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry (IPHA Code) requires us to publicly disclose certain transfers of value that we make to healthcare professionals and other relevant decision makers, including conference registration fees, and the provision of any related travel and accommodation. This Notice describes how we will collect and use your personal data to help us fulfil our obligations under the IPHA Code.

Personal data we collect and why we collect it
In order to manage this engagement and where applicable to inform the public about payments or other transfers of value provided to you we will collect and process your personal data as follows: title and full name, job role, principal practice address, your institution or employer, work email address, and the value of applicable direct or indirect transfers made to you by Teva or its agents. Our obligation to disclose transfers of value applies regardless of whether these are provided to you at Teva’s expense or reimbursed to you. Teva means Teva means Teva Pharmaceuticals Ireland, Teva Pharmaceuticals Europe BV, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., or its affiliated companies.

How we use and share your information
Disclosure of transfers of value made to healthcare professionals and other relevant decision makers is made public annually, with data for a calendar year being published by 30 June of the following year. Disclosure will be made available in a central industry report on the IPHA website and will include your details as outlined above, noting that email addresses are used for managing queries about your transfers of value and will not be published. We will only disclose your information where you have consented to this. If you withhold or revoke your consent, the transfers of value we make to you will be included only within aggregated statistics. Information on the IPHA website will be in the public domain for at least 3 years and Teva is obliged to maintain relevant records for a minimum of 5 years after the end of the relevant reporting period.

International data transfer and its safeguards
Teva is a global group of companies and so your information may be transferred outside the EEA to a country that may have different data protection laws. Teva will always take steps to ensure your information is adequately protected if transferred to these countries; for example, GDPR-compliant Binding Corporate Rules or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How we store information and your rights
You may be entitled under applicable law to ask Teva for a copy of your information, to correct it, erase or restrict its processing, or to ask us to transfer some of this information to other organisations. You may also have rights to object to some processing and, where we have asked for your consent, to withdraw this consent. These rights may be limited in some situations – for example, where we have a legal requirement or other legal basis to process your data. As set out above, this can mean that we retain your data even if you withdraw your consent to its publication.
